The Dynamax Phenomenon

During the Pokémon Direct 6.5.2019, series’ developer Game Freak revealed a number of new features. One of the most notable was easily the addition of Dynamax. As with Mega Evolution and Z-Moves before it, Dynamax is a region defining ability designed to up the ante of Pokémon battles!

If you have ever had to battle against a Jigglypuff’s final smash in the Super Smash Bros. series, you may actually sorta know what to expect. During battles, trainers may activate Dynamax on one of their Pokémon. Only one Pokémon may be Dymaxed per battle and this phenomenon will only remain active for 3 turns. During this time, the chosen Pokémon will grow to a gargantuan size. This not only looks cool but will amplify each and every one of the Pokémon’s four moves. Dynamax is available to use in various locations including the overworld and Dynamax gyms. “Let them fight!”
