Max Raid Battles Revealed

Likely inspired by Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield introduce Max Raid Battles to the main series. During these encounters, up to four players may team up to defeat a rival Pokémon. However, these won’t be just any Pokémon. These will all be giant Dynamax Pokémon!

The Dynamax Phenomenon

During the Pokémon Direct 6.5.2019, series’ developer Game Freak revealed a number of new features. One of the most notable was easily the addition of Dynamax. As with Mega Evolution and Z-Moves before it, Dynamax is a region defining ability designed to up the ante of Pokémon battles!
