In an unexpected turn of events, series’ director Masahiro Sakurai revealed that every single character that has previously appeared in a Super Smash Bros. title will return in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Every single one! From Ice Climbers and Pichu to Solid Snake and Wolf, the gang is all here!
In addition to including all the previous combatants from the previous 4 or 5 games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also introduce 2.5 new characters including Inkling, Ridley, and Peach’s echo character: Daisy. With the indroduction of echo characters, similar combatants such as Marth & Lucina or Pit & Dark Pit will now share a single slot. The first 65 characters have already been revealed!
